The Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Diamond Foundation

The Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Diamond, Inc. (Foundation) is a nonprofit charitable entity that has been granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501(c) 3 organization in the State of Maryland. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
The mission of the Bowie-Mitchellville Diamond Foundation is:

  • To encourage the development, and leadership training among young African American males.
  • To help advance a higher living of standard for young African American males who are economically disadvantaged.
  • To assist the Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter’s Guide Right program, which serve to assist young males in the community.
  • To work with young African American males at the Elementary and Secondary school level and to identify with those males who do not have a father in the household.
  • To serve as role models to young African American males and provide financial assistance by sending them to camp or leadership training and to help provide an opportunity to grow.

Assistance can be by way of corporate sponsorship or contributions as we continue to be actively engaged in our communities.

Guide Right

The purposes of the Guide Right Service Program are to:
(1) place the training, experience, and friendly interest of successful men at the disposal of youth
needing inspiration and counsel regarding their choices of a life’s career; and
(2) to arouse the interest of the
entire community in the
problems of youth as they
seek to realize lives of


Scholarships Program

The Board of Directors of the BMAC Diamond Foundation has approved the establishment of a Scholarship Program that will provide funding (Tuition, Books, Room / Board) to deserving students within Prince George’s County.
