Message from the president



The Diamond Foundation is the crystallization of a dream by the Founders of Kappa Alpha Psi. That dream is to take the spirit of Fraternity to the next level by reaching back and helping others. I feel that there is no greater joy than giving of yourself.

On behalf of the Bowie-Mitchellville (MD)  Diamond Foundation, I welcome you to our official website.  The Diamond Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  The Diamond Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization in the State of Maryland.  Our mission is:

  • To encourage the development, and leadership training among young African American males.
  • To help advance a higher living of standard for young African American males who are economically disadvantaged.
  • To assist the Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter’s Guide Right program, which serve to assist young males in the community.
  • To work with young African American males at the Elementary and Secondary school level and to identify with those males who do not have a father in the household.
  • To serve as role models to young African American males and provide financial assistance by sending them to camp or leadership training and to help provide an opportunity to grow.
  • To support our mission we have amazing programs to support our community.  One of our major programs is our Annual Scholarship event in which we award financial scholarships to matriculated African American incoming and current college students.

Guide Right

The purposes of the Guide Right Service Program are to:
(1) place the training, experience, and friendly interest of successful men at the disposal of youth
needing inspiration and counsel regarding their choices of a life’s career; and
(2) to arouse the interest of the
entire community in the
problems of youth as they
seek to realize lives of


Scholarships Program

The Board of Directors of the BMAC Diamond Foundation has approved the establishment of a Scholarship Program that will provide funding (Tuition, Books, Room / Board) to deserving students within Prince George’s County.
